The tool imported all the songs in RS 2014 Mac Edition. It did show an error at the end. Ignore it and siimply launch RS 2014. All the content is there and works great. Thanks, to everyone.
That's a good confirmation. Because I have had several people ask me if they could import the RS1 songs to Mac, and I wasn't really sure, because I am a PC guy.
I knew that Steam was the common platform, but I didn't want to tell anyone that they could import those songs unless I knew first hand that they could. They are supposed to be fixing it so that you can just buy the DLC from RS 1 in 2014. It has all been reworked for 2014.
So right at this moment you have to have RS 1 to buy RS 1 DLC, but it will then also show up in 2014. We don't know when steam will get it fixed, but eventually you are supposed to be able to buy the RS 1 DLC for 2014 without owning RS 1. The best reason to get RS 1 is for the on disk songs, but you have to pay the 10 bucks to transfer the RS 1 on disk songs. Awesome, comprehensive answer. Thank you so much. Originally posted by:Do you just have to own RS to do this or do you have to install it?
I bought RS and tried to install it on my Mac (couldn't), but I also bought a DLC pack for RS at the same time and THAT worked. Does this mean that if I own RS, that I can import the songs and have access to the DLC? Also, if the import isn't showsn in the songs or packs lists in RS14 where ARE they shown?
Any help would be appreciated! If you own the original RS, you can import the songs and buy any of the old DLC.
Even for Mac. It does not matter if the game is installed. Just that you own it on Steam.
