Gtech G2 Releases Poker Client For Mac
- Providers GTECH G2 are giving US gaming operators the chance to win a free installation of an online play for fun poker platform at this year’s Global Gaming Expo (G2E).
- GTECH's networked bingo and poker solutions will also be on show. Attendees will be able to test the newly launched, cutting-edge Poker Mac client and app, as well as HTML tablet bingo with user-friendly features that are the result of extensive research and development.
GTECH G2, owner of The International Poker Network is the most popular network in Europe in terms of cash players and one of the largest networks in the world in terms of size. So it should come as no surprise that GTECH the premier full service provider to the iGaming and sports betting industry, today announced the launch of Poker 8.0. The new release includes the market’s first full-feature poker client for Mac, containing all game types and tournaments as well as cash tables. The latest version of GTECH G2’s multichannel poker product has adapted keyboard shortcuts in the Mac poker client for use with Mac hardware. Poker 8.0 also includes a host of innovative features designed to boost convenience and enhance the card-playing experience. Players can alleviate uncertainty about a hand and are now able to relive their best moments by viewing a rerun of any completed hand from any game session they have participated in with the new Hand Replay option. Another addition is the Tournament Deal feature.
This enables players remaining in a tournament at the final table to accept a proposed deal to end the tournament prematurely. Deals are available at the final table in multi-table tournaments (MTTs) when remaining players have chips left and there is no rebuy or add-on time left.
MTTs offering a deal are marked by a special icon in the lobby. Poker 8.0 benefits from improved player profile settings and statistics, including the ability to categorize an opponent’s skill level as ‘shark’, ‘medium’, ‘fish’ or ‘none’. “We are absolutely delighted to be launching Poker 8.0, the market’s first full-feature poker client for both PC and Mac,” said Dominic Mansour, GTECH G2 Vice President of Product Management. “The developments on the latest version of our poker product have all been designed with a core aim of improving the player experience and we are very satisfied with the results.
